The PUTNAM COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION ("PCVFA") was formed in 1951 with its general purpose being the promotion and development of the Putnam County Firefighters and Volunteer Ambulance personnel and the unification and coordination of the same, so that, by concerted action, they may ...
... more effectively assist in the Firematic and First Aid training of all the firefighters and ambulance personnel in the County;
... more successively execute the specific works of the firefighters and ambulance personnel;
... promote and encourage fire prevention and first aid education throughout Putnam County through the Putnam County Fire Departments/Companies and Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
The Association meets five times a year (March, May, July, September and November) at our Member Departments and/or VACs.
